Today I will start with duplicate contents that how we are going to check entries for duplication's.

Check duplicate content in excel.

Duplicate Content

If there are few entries in sheet we can check duplicate data easily, but what when there is a lot of entries, to easily understand I am mentioning three entries only.

At the top bar you will see Conditional Formatting Tab, when you click on it you will find different rules which can be applied for checking duplication's.

I have created two headings with their entries and used two different rules to check duplication. as you see there are same entries in these cells (F11, G11, H11 & F15, G15, H15)

I have just selected cells range from 11 to 15 rows and clicked on Conditional Formatting - Highlight Cells Rules and then clicked on Duplicate Values (1st Rule Applied).

I have just selected cells range from 23 to 27 rows and clicked on Conditional Formatting - Highlight Cells Rules and then clicked on Text that Contains (Ahmed) (2nd Rule Applied).

Now Text That Contains rule is easy to use for any individual words, symbols or anything else, a pop up screen appears and just type any text. If any duplicate content found, then automatically text will be highlighted in red and pink color.

Mostly when data is collected into worksheet, duplicate content is checked to sort data by name, designation or email id, it depends what type of work you do in worksheet.

Note: If there is any space at starting word or after the word, which can't be seen but when you click at end you will see space.

Example:  When someone type words or sentence at the end it is their habits that they use spacebar. If two same name written without space or with space, these two name are not same and we will get (Duplicate not Found) message.
